A student must be fully enrolled at AACS (minimum of four classes) in order to participate in tryouts, practice or games. A student who has attained his/her 19th birthday before August 31 of a given academic year is not eligible to participate. A student who has attained his/her 19th birthday on or after August 31st of a given academic year may participate only on the varsity level.
Student-athletes must have the following on file in the High School Athletic Office before being allowed to tryout, practice and play in games.
- AACS Sports Physical & Parent Waiver/Authorization Form signed and dated by a physician (a physical is good for 13 months from the date of the exam). Physical Exam/Parental Permission Form
- Male transfer student-athletes must have an MIAA approved EVF form on file in order to participate in practice or games. MIAA Eligibility Verification Form
Limit of Athletic Eligibility: Student-athletes have four years of athletic eligibility upon successful completion of the eighth grade.
Academic Standing: Student-athletes must be in good academic standing in order to participate. Students on academic probation must maintain a 2.0 in their core courses for the quarter in order to participate. Academic probation students falling below a 2.0 in their core for the quarter will be held out of sports participation for a minimum of two weeks to help them focus on improving their studies.
