As Christians are called to be "ambassadors for Christ" (2 Corinthians 5:20), we believe our cheerleaders are natural ambassadors for AACS. Their purpose includes encouraging and uplifting student-athletes at AACS, working to develop good sportsmanship and enthusiasm among all present at sporting events, and committing to improving their personal athleticism through the sport of cheerleading. In addition, AACS cheerleaders will strive to respect themselves and others while developing a personal, vibrant, and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Coaches will encourage our cheerleaders to strive for progress, not perfection. Coaches will be fair and consistent in handing out discipline; cheerleaders should expect to "sit out" of a game if absences have occurred or behavior has not been respectful. Cheerleaders are athletes, and they must expect to be treated as one.
